Tips to Eating Healthier!

1:50 pm

I want to make sure I look perfect in three weeks when my fiancé and I take our engagement pictures (with, by the way, the most amazing Utah photographer).  I don’t need to necessarily lose weight, but I really need to start changing my eating and exercise habits to be more healthy.  I am hoping for that “glow” that eating right and exercise can give you.  Here are a few tips I have found to be really helpful…Enjoy!

 - Identify the strong and weak points within your present diet. Are you currently drinking at least eight glasses of water each day?  Do you eat whole grains?  Are you getting the recommended 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables each day?  Once you have found your weak points, start improving on those while maintaining your “strong” points.

- You will not be able to change all your habits at once and be able to stick with them.  Rather, making small changes slowly will allow you to stick to them easier.

- Keep a daily log of what you eat.  Doing so will help you execute the first step (identifying your eating strengths and weaknesses).

- It may be a good idea to speak with a nutritionist; they will be able to help you figure out and plan a diet customized for you.
